October 15, 2026
The Silver Line turns one on October 25. DART opened passenger service on that date in 2025. Six days before the anniversary, DART changes the schedule. Starting October 19, 2026, weekend trains run every 60 minutes in both directions, and the extra evening and weekend trips added in September come off the timetable.
The trains that matter most for catching a flight stay put. The first train out of Richardson and the last train home from Terminal B leave at the same times after October 19 as they do today. For anyone flying out of Richardson, the new schedule mostly changes how long you might wait in the middle of the day. Your airline still decides how much of the trip is left once the train stops at DFW.
DART has added and removed service twice in a month. The September 21 update added trips in both directions, including weekday evening trips and weekend trips from morning to near midnight, and spaced some weekend trains 30 to 60 minutes apart. The October 19 update takes those same windows back off.
| Sept. 21, 2026 schedule | Oct. 19, 2026 schedule | |
|---|---|---|
| Weekday peak | Every 30 min | Every 30 min |
| Weekday midday | Every 60 min | Every 60 min |
| Weekday off-peak | Every 30 min | Every 60 min |
| Weekend | Every 30 to 60 min | Every 60 min |
| Last train leaving Terminal B | 12:28 AM | 12:28 AM |
An hourly train is fine if you know your departure time in advance and costly if you just show up. A flight on a Saturday afternoon used to leave some room for a missed connection. Starting October 19, missing a train means waiting a full hour.
Here are the Richardson times under the new timetable, as DART prints them.
Toward DFW Terminal B
Back from Terminal B
The 3:30 AM weekday departure is the one to build around for early morning flights. The 12:28 AM train is the one to keep in mind when a late flight lands behind schedule. Neither time moves on October 19.
The ride is shorter than the city first projected. The City of Richardson's Cotton Belt page projected 51 minutes from CityLine/Bush to Terminal B and 44 minutes from UT Dallas. The posted timetable runs 48 minutes from CityLine/Bush, with the first weekday train leaving at 3:30 and arriving at 4:18. From UT Dallas it's 42 minutes.
Richardson's two stops work differently. CityLine/Bush is a transfer hub. It connects to DART's Red and Orange light-rail lines, buses and GoLink, and it has 1,193 free parking spaces. UT Dallas is smaller, with 200 free spaces and bus connections. The UT Dallas News Center places the station north of campus near the Northside development. DART's station page says the university plans a transit-oriented development nearby with housing, retail and restaurants. The station had its own ribbon-cutting on October 23, 2025, two days before the line opened, Community Impact reported.
Leaving a car for a trip has a catch. DART says overnight or long-term parking at both stations is at the customer's discretion, and that it assumes no responsibility for vehicles left overnight. The parking is free and allowed, and DART leaves the risk with the driver.
The six minutes between the two stations work in UT Dallas's favor on the way out and against it on the way home. A late arrival reaches UT Dallas at 1:09 AM, six minutes before it reaches CityLine/Bush.
The train ends at Terminal B. DART puts the station on the lower level near Entry B43. DFW's airline and gate table assigns gates B1 through B49 to American Airlines and lists no other carrier at a B gate. If you fly American, you can go through security at Terminal B and ride Skylink, the airport's train inside security, to any other terminal.
If you fly another airline, the route depends on your bags. DART lays out the steps like this:
The two options take different amounts of time. DFW says Skylink is free, runs 24/7 to all five terminals, comes about every two minutes, and averages a five-minute ride, with nine minutes as the longest trip between the farthest terminals. Terminal Link comes every 8 to 10 minutes after 5 AM, and trips between terminals take about 10 to 20 minutes. From 1 to 5 AM, you call for it. Someone on the first weekday train with a checked bag for a non-American flight reaches Terminal B at 4:18 AM, before the shuttle's regular service starts. DFW also says Terminals A and B, B and D, and A and C are within walking distance of each other.
With an hourly train, these extra minutes add up fast. A carry-on traveler on American has about the same trip from either Richardson station. A traveler with a checked bag on another airline has to add the shuttle on top of the train.
The airport ride doesn't need a Regional fare. DART includes the Silver Line in its Local Pass and tells riders who only use DART to buy one. DART lists the Local Pass at $3 for three hours and $6 for a day. The Regional Day Pass, which also covers Trinity Metro, DCTA and TRE, went to $9 on March 1, 2026, according to DART's February 2026 fare release. A 48-minute ride from CityLine/Bush to Terminal B fits inside the three-hour pass.
You can buy passes, plan trips and track trains live in DART's GoPass app. It takes cards, Apple Pay, Google Wallet and cash-to-mobile. Before the first holiday trip of the season, it helps to look up the October 19 timetable in the app and confirm which hourly weekend train lines up with your flight. The DART service change page has the new schedules for both directions.
DART's Silver Line project FAQ still says the line "will open" in late 2025. The schedule PDFs dated October 19, 2026 are the ones to use.
